Varanasi, Aug 23: Food packets were taken to those families affected by floods in the Ganga on behalf of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) Sewa Prakoshth, Vishal Bharat Sansthan, Anaj Bank, Panchganga Foundation and Social Media Society in Varanasi and surrounding areas.
Most affected were the poor Muslim families living around Shakkar Talab area, and the Hindu families made rotis for them.
Dr. Rajiv Shrivastava, Rashtriya Sewa Pramukh of MRM took the lead in this operation help. He said that their effort was to provide meals to each and every household in the flood affected areas of Varanasi.
The operation help would continue in areas of Nakkhi Ghat, Shailputri, Unchava, Teen Pulwa areas, he said.
Dr. Hemant Gupta, Uttar Pradesh Sewa Pramukh said that health camp would be held at Shailputri Mandir after the flood water recedes. Medicines will be distributed there to the people suffering from various ailments.
